Bolivia has taught me an important lesson: we should never take for granted the opportunities we have access to in the USA.
ExtREMO is my personal initiative designed to offer virtual rowing training and mentorship to young, aspiring rowers in Bolivia, where access to the sport is severely limited, if not nearly non-existent.
If by providing training videos or competing in a regatta to represent Bolivia I can inspire even one young Bolivian to believe in their own potential and see new opportunities ahead, then I’ve achieved my goal.
This project is about developing talent and creating pathways for young athletes to pursue their rowing dreams, despite the challenges they face locally.
In collaboration with the Bolivian Federation, I am producing and sharing fundamental technique and training videos, as shown below.
It’s still a work in progress, but every step forward counts.
”The oars gave me power, but also taught me humility.
